Leadership Coaching
Leadership coaching that’s grounded in somatics can unlock professional growth. It also offers a fresh approach to help you navigate challenges that arise in your career.
In this style of leadership coaching, we address all the same issues you’d explore in traditional leadership coaching. The approach and methodology is what makes this somatic approach so unique.
Why Somatics + Leadership Coaching?
If you find yourself navigating challenges in your career that are difficult to resolve on your own or if you’re looking for professional development, inviting your body into leadership coaching is often the missing piece of the puzzle.
This is because so much of how we show up in our careers is influenced not just by our rational minds, but also by emotions, stress, and blocked energy held in the body. Shifting these deeper patterns can help you become a more effective leader and can help you acquire and embody new leadership skills.
In particular, this type of leadership coaching can help you cultivate one or more of the following benefits listed below depending on your specific interests and goals.
-
Somatic practices can deepen your self-awareness by connecting physical sensations with emotions and thought patterns.
This awareness can help you better understand your strengths and opportunities for growth to support your professional development.
-
Emotional intelligence is the foundation of effective leadership.
Learning tools to work with your own emotions and those of others can help you stay centered even under pressure and can strengthen your connection with others.
Somatics provides a fresh approach to process and release your own emotions and to work with the emotions and stress of others.
-
Oftentimes the most challenging aspect of leadership is working effectively with other people.
Improving your emotional intelligence, non-verbal communication and presence can help you build trust and foster collaborative relationships.
Strengthening your communication and relationship skills can also help you navigate conflict with more ease, improve cross-cultural communication, help you give and receive honest feedback, set boundaries, and speak up with clarity and kindness.
-
Somatic practices can help you access your intuition which for many is held in the body, and make decisions aligned with this deeper wisdom.
This can help you with decision-fatigue, managing your time effectively, getting clarity about your vision for the future, and developing strategies that are informed by your head, heart, and gut.
-
A key element of embodied leadership is aligning your work in the world with who you are as a person.
As a result, this work can help you get clarity on your purpose, vision for the future, and how to move forward in your career in a way that aligns with your values.
-
Working with somatics can help you develop a leadership style that’s unique to you and aligned with your strengths and values.
Leadership that’s guided by both your head and your heart is oftentimes far more compelling and effective at inspiring others.
Authentic leadership can also help you stay motivated when inevitable challenges arise, can help you overcome imposter syndrome, and can help you show up at work in a way that honors your strengths and personality.
-
While it’s important to learn new strategies to support your leadership and professional development, it’s just as important that your work is sustainable. As a result, supporting your wellbeing is a key priority in coaching.
Through this work, you’ll learn how to release emotions, limiting beliefs, and blocked energy held in your body. This can be crucial not only to support your leadership but also your health and wellbeing.
Through this work, you’ll also learn strategies to deal with stress more effectively so you can feel more grounded and centered in your everyday professional life.
