Somatic Coaching

Somatic coaching is a holistic, body-centered approach to personal growth and healing that integrates the mind, body, and energy system.

By combining somatic practices, energy work, and other mind-body techniques, somatic coaching helps you release stress, process emotions, reprogram limiting beliefs, and shift patterns held in the nervous system.

This approach goes beyond talk-based coaching to support healing, emotional regulation, and personal empowerment. Whether you're navigating life transitions, dealing with chronic stress, or seeking greater alignment in your life and relationships, somatic coaching offers practical tools to help you embody meaningful, lasting change.

Why Somatic Coaching?

Somatic coaching combines conversation, guided somatic practices, and energy work to support your growth and wellbeing. The benefits of somatic coaching can include one or multiple of the benefits listed below, depending on your goals and priorities.

Somatic Coaching is an approach to personal growth that combines talking, somatics, and energy work.
  • Through somatic coaching, you’ll learn strategies that work directly with the nervous system to help you feel more grounded both during sessions and in everyday life.

This way, you can navigate stressful circumstances with more ease and comfort.

  • Somatic coaching incorporates energy work into sessions to clear energetic blocks held in your body.

Not only will you receive energy work, but you’ll learn practices to work with and shift your own energy system.

  • Somatic coaching can help release physical tension because it can release stress, emotions, and blocked energy that contribute to physical tension and ailments.

  • Working with emotions is a key aspect of somatic coaching because emotions are held in the body.

In somatic coaching you’ll learn how to access and release emotions in a gentle and efficient manner.

Most people are surprised to learn this is easier and far less daunting than they expected.

  • As you learn new strategies to work with emotions, this can strengthen your connection to yourself and others.

This in turn can improve the quality of your relationships, and can offer new tools on how to address issues that arise in your relationships.

  • In addition to holding onto stress and emotions, our bodies also hold onto unconscious beliefs or biases from our past.

Learning how to work with and shift these beliefs is key to shifting your mindset and mood.

Clients find this to be a much faster approach than trying to shift your mindset through your mind alone.

  • The more you turn inward, the more easily you can access your intuition, can get clarity on your purpose, and can discern your vision for the future.

The more these are aligned with your values, the easier it becomes to have direction and clarity regarding your path for the future.

Getting Started

  • Words from Rose C:

“I have been working with Elizabeth now for a few months and am astonished to feel and see how the work that she facilitates has shifted my life on a very deep level.

I have enjoyed experiencing her craniosacral work as well as somatic coaching, and have benefited immensely from both.

I especially have enjoyed her somatic coaching sessions. They are convenient due to the sessions being virtual, and have been powerful in healing past trauma and understanding my own body and what it tries to teach me and in how it protects me.

I can't recommend Elizabeth enough, and have appreciated her joyful, encouraging, and uplifting attitude in supporting me in shaping and creating the boundaries and understanding I want in my life.”

  • Words from Alexa P:

“Somatic coaching with Elizabeth seems like a next step from talk therapy. Whereas therapy can be a way to review existing patterns and explore the path to the present, coaching served me to find valuable tools to shape my immediate future in a positive way inline with my heart’s desires.

Elizabeth is excellent at making me feel comfortable and at ease and at finding relevant sparklets for discussion. Each session felt natural, heartfelt and profound. It is easy to talk candidly and honestly with Elizabeth, as she brings such qualities of attentive understanding, patience, and warmth.

Each session, Elizabeth organically guided our discussion into actionable goals so that I always walked away feeling seen, heard, inspired, and motivated. Time with Elizabeth always gives beautiful opportunity to slow down and check in with my thoughts and feelings and how they impact my physical body, and visa versa.”

  • Words from Sara W:

“My main fear from starting this process was actually gauging my ability to feel and ask myself what I was feeling from within. And if I was ready to process these feelings to help me deal with past traumas and current stresses in my life.

Sometimes the easy route is avoiding and disassociating from the things that may cause grief, and I was aware this was my go to, and knew it would take work.

What made this process easy, was not only Elizabeth’s ability to understand what I was saying, but the willingness of her to listen and help process and validate my feelings. I felt no shame, only relief that I had found an outlet for these things I felt I was going through.

The somatic practices bring awareness and wonderment to everyday life, and are also fun. In working with Elizabeth, I was able to establish boundaries and limits allowing me to feel safe, honest, and able to grow.”
